Use ColorSync Utility to view installed color profiles on your Mac. When you install devices, such as cameras, displays, or printers, a color profile containing the color capabilities and limits for each device is created. In the ColorSync Utility app on your Mac, click Profiles in the toolbar of the ColorSync Utility window. Yes I have tried that command but it seems nothing happens after pressing enter, I restarted the terminal but still path is not added. – coure2011 Oct 9 '11 at 11:05.

Designed by Numark in collaboration with Serato, NS7 represents the pinnacle of DJ performance control. NS7 combines an all-metal chassis with adjustable torque, motorized, aluminum-turntable platters, vinyl, and a professional audio interface to deliver a complete performance solution that will satisfy even the most hardcore turntablist.

A full complement of premium faders, knobs, buttons and our new Strip Search (patent pending) virtual-needle-drop control integrates seamlessly with the included Serato ITCH software. NS7 delivers hands-on control of every aspect of Serato ITCH and sends data to the software more than ten times faster than standard MIDI resolution, resulting in a rock-solid hardware/software DJ system that works with Mac or PC and feels as good as it looks.

Serato ITCH is completely compatible with Serato Scratch LIVE crates, loops, and cue points, so the Scratch Live DJ can step up to NS7 without missing a beat.

NS7 was a collaborative development effort with Serato to develop the finest computer-DJ experience. It is a one-to-one hands-on control instrument for Serato ITCH.

Because it was designed for ITCH, NS7 setup time is the bare minimum. No tweaking, no mapping; just plug and perform.

Forget your experiences with other controllers. NS7 has two seven-inch, motorized, high-torque aluminum turntable platters. The turntable controls feature modern and classic settings that alter the feel to model the feel you prefer. Seven-inch, legit vinyl records with 45RPM adapters sit on real slipmats. There’s no simulation here – NS7 is the real deal.

Solid, rugged, rubberized buttons and knobs compliment a high precision, replaceable CP-PRO crossfader and D-TYPE line faders for an unquestionably high-quality feel. We selected the CP-PRO digital-VCA crossfader because it is outstandingly durable with low wear for a long life. It has a solid feel that is smooth and rigid. It’s only natural that our finest crossfader is a component of our finest controller. We selected high-performance, D-Type digital-VCA line faders for their rugged, long-life performance. Like the crossfader, the line faders are replaceable. The crossfader offers contour adjust and reverse adjustment, enabling you to customize its operation.

Forget the mouse. Forget the keyboard. NS7 renders ITCH software perfectly simple to operate, with its click knob and large, backlit buttons navigating though your music library. You’ll spend less time looking at the screen and more time enjoying performing thanks to the visual feedback you get from NS7’s more-than 100 LEDs and more-than 100 hands-on controls.

A single USB cable between NS7 and your Mac or PC is all you need to send audio and data back and forth. NS7 has onboard audio outputs so it’s the only piece of gear you need to connect to the PA system or powered speakers.
NS7 outputs 24-bit, 44.1 kHz digital audio to the sound system on XLRs and RCAs. The front panel contains mic input, RCA line input, and both 1/4” and 1/8” headphone outputs with volume control.

NS7 comes with an integrated laptop stand that supplies safe, secure mounting for your laptop. You can use an ultra-small space because NS7 elevates your laptop off the table.

NS7 sends control information over USB at more than ten times the standard MIDI rate. This innovative communication technique yields extremely high-precision, low-latency control.

There’s nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly locating a point in the track. We took that idea and developed our own modern take on it with Strip Search, the unique virtual-needle-drop touch strip. You can locate a point instantly within the track using the on-screen waveform and Strip Search.

Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH and Scratch LIVE, and you can load Scratch LIVE cue points in ITCH.

We developed an extensive Serato-style loop section on each deck for creative remix capabilities. You can choose between manual and auto-loop functions and an automatic BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and modify to heart’s content with a variety of controls such as Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls. Multiple loop banks per deck make NS7 a great choice for scratch and club DJs alike.

Beat matching is straight ahead with 100mm, smooth, stiff pitch sliders and plus and minus buttons, by popular request, for bending. There’s a zero-point LED, so it’s easy to know when you’re in the middle.

We took extraordinary care in selecting the components of the audio signal chain. NS7 contains a host of professional audio connectors and a multichannel, 24-bit USB digital-audio interface.

The high-definition post-mix analog audio output features a minimized circuit path with containing only one audiophile-grade bipolar capacitor. This optimized design maximizes phase coherence, ensuring that audio is tight and punchy.

NS7’s dual decks flank the mixer section. Its recognizable, professional appearance is supported by clean design in matte and glossy black. The entire unit is housed in a heavy-gauge, industrial-strength metal casing that is ready for the torture of travel.

Serato ITCH is already familiar if you use Scratch LIVE. The new program builds on Scratch LIVE’s popularity and adds some key, new features. ITCH doesn’t require a timecode interface, so the system can be as simple as, say, NS7 and your computer! Since ITCH makes timecode a thing of the past, you won’t need to worry about needles skipping or vinyl wearing out. You can load your Scratch LIVE crates, loops, presets, and cue points seamlessly in ITCH. NS7 also works with most other MIDI DJ software and supports iTunes.

ITCH is a high-performance portable music system with internal mixing and platter-style playback control. Because it is designed specifically for use with hardware control, ITCH has a clean information display.

ITCH handles audio processing and mixing including channel fading, EQ, crossfading and track trim are processed for outstanding control and management of your tracks, ease of recording your set, clip-proof gain management, and BPM calculation using the power of your computer’s processor.

Serato’s unique color waveforms provide an easy identification of sound and changes in the track. ITCH can set and store cue-points. It offers three-range pitch control: ±8%, ±16%, and ±50% with Key Lock for manipulation of pitch and tempo independently.

ITCH has library management tools for backup and restoring your music. Advanced input and mix recording capabilities include recording your mix or just the aux input for sampling. The software supports AIFF, WAV, MP3, and AAC audio files.

The History function in ITCH keeps a comprehensive record of every track played and exports sessions from your history to ‘txt’, ‘csv’, or ‘m3u’. ITCH also has a Loop Roll function that provides a looping effect where the playhead jumps back to normal time when you release the loop. Built-in key support ensures that ITCH reads key tags from MP3 files and displays them in the ‘key’ column in your library.

If they are your own computers, yes you can. If you are in a company, you need one license for each developer. If you are in an educationalinstitution, you canrequest a special license for educational purposes.

Is there an educational license?

Mac

In case you are a teacher in an educational institution, and you wantto use Aseprite in your classroom, you canrequest a special license for educational purposes.

If Aseprite source code is available, how is that you are selling it?

Aseprite started being open source since its very beginning in 2001,and we were happy with that untilAugust 2016. Nowyou can still download its source code, compile it, and use it foryour personal purposes. You canmake commercial art/assets with it too. Theonly restriction inAseprite EULAis thatyou cannot redistribute Aseprite tothird parties.

Can I redistribute Aseprite?

No. From August 2016 you cannot redistribute compiled versions ofAseprite. We have replaced the General Public License (GPLv2) with thenewAseprite EULA.The only way to redistribute Aseprite is with an specialeducational license.

Anyway this does not restrict most users: You can still compile thesource code, and use the program to create your assets for commercialgames. You can also makecontributions to Asepriteor modify its source code for your personal purposes.

Can I sell graphics created with Aseprite?

Yes, you can use your own creations (sprites, animations, graphics, assets, etc.) in any product (personal or commercial) you want. Evenwith compiled versions of Aseprite you can create art for yourpersonal/commercial purposes.

Is there a SNES color palette?

No. Because the Super NES could be configured to display 256simultaneous values from the 15-bit RGB color spectrum (perlayer). FromWikipedia:

The Picture Processing Unit (PPU) used in the Super NES has a 15-bitRGB (32,768 color) palette, with up to 256 simultaneous colors atonce.

However, while the hardware palette can only contain 256 entries, inmost display modes the graphics are arranged into between 2 and 4layers, and these layers can be combined using additive orsubtractive color blending. Because these blended colors arecalculated by the hardware itself, and do not have to be representedby any of the existing palette entries, the actual number of visiblecolors onscreen at any one time can be much higher.

The exact number depends on the number of layers, and thecombination of colors used by these layers, as well as what blendingmode and graphical effects are in use. In theory it can show theentire 32,768 colors, but in practice this is rarely the case forreasons such as memory use. Most games use 256-color mode, with15-color palettes assigned to 8x8 pixel areas of the background.

Is there any difference between .ase and .aseprite files?

No. It's the same difference between .jpg and .jpeg. Bothextensions can be used to save the full sprite information (layers +frames). The .aseprite alternative is given because Photoshopuses .ase extension for Adobe Swatches Exchange files.

Why do the colors change when exporting a sprite to a .gif file?

GIF files support only 256 colors. So if you are exporting a RGBsprite with more than 256 colors, or any kind of sprite with severallayers with different blending modes, blurred areas, or specialeffects like glows, you will have problems exporting the image to GIFfiles. As a general rule: if you are going to export to GIF, youshould use less than 256 colors on RGB sprites, or use Indexed spritesdirectly.

More Details: The GIF format supports 256 new colors on eachframe. It means, each frame (a rectangular area) cannot introduce morethan 256 new colors to the image (and the previous colors in therectangular area are lost). Aseprite tries to use this knowledge tocalculate the minimal rectangular area between two consecutive framesand then calculate what colors should be introduced in the frame, anyway generally it's really hard to use more than 256 colors. Here'ssome example of these special GIF with more than 256 colors:https://imgur.com/gallery/VTJu5T0

Why do I see double-sized pixels?

Each Aseprite pixel uses 2x2 real pixels on the screen. It is designedin this way to reproduce look & feel of old sprite editors, and it isachieved only using this special configuration of pixels on thescreen.

Anyway, sometimes you need to edit images with the full screenresolution. You can do so going to Edit > Options, and selecting1:1 in Screen Scale field. You will need to restart the programafter this change.

Is Aseprite for Windows USB portable?

The program works in both ways, depending if the configurations fileaseprite.ini exists in the same folder where aseprite.exe islocated.

From Aseprite v1.0.2 the configuration is saved in the current usersettings folder by default(i.e. %AppData%/Aseprite/aseprite.ini). Anyway, if you copy youraseprite.ini in the aseprite.exe folder, Aseprite detects that youwant to carry your configuration with you, so the program acts like aportable app.

Anyway we distribute both versions:

  1. A .exe installer which associates .ase/.aseprite files with Aseprite.exe, and
  2. a portable .zip version that you can uncompress in any folder.

I have a lag using my pen, is there any solution?

If you are having problems with your Wacom pen or tablet, you can trythe following solutions:

Other possible solution is to turn up the double click speed onWindows and Wacom settings. (And could be a good idea to turn down thearea in which double clicks are registered.)

Where is .asepriterc on Mac OS X?

It's in your home directory (⇧⌘+H) as a hidden file.

To see hidden files see this article.

Does Aseprite run on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite?

Yes, it does.

I cannot resize or maximize the window on Linux, why?

This is a recurrent problem of Linux users. The precompiled Linuxdistribution of Aseprite (which is not officially supported by ourteam) is linked to a shared version of Allegro 4 library.

We've fixed this problem years ago distributing a patched version ofAllegro 4 along with Aseprite source code. The problems is that wedidn't find enough time to merge those patches upstream, i.e. officialAllegro 4 library doesn't contain our patches to resize the window.

The conclusion is that if you want to resize the window, you shouldcompile Aseprite by yourself, which is the best advice we can giveyou. It's not too hard if you followour instructions.(Almost all dependencies are included in the GitHub repository.)

Is there an official package for Linux?

We are releasing packages for Ubuntu (x86 and x64) at thismoment. Fedora is being considered for a near future.

How do I run Aseprite standalone without Steam?

Aseprite is completely DRM-free, anyway, using the default Steamoption to create a desktop shortcut you will notice that it opensSteam to launch Aseprite. Regardless of this behavior, you can createyour own direct shortcut to the Aseprite executable file to startAseprite without Steam.

Aseprite icon looks familiar, where do I know it from?

It's a little tribute to what we think is the greatest game of all time:Super Mario World. It specifically refers to one of the few animatedblocks in this game: the rotating block.
